Cuves is close to the river Sée and has a shop, small bar, restaurant and picnic area. A ten minute drive away is the town of Brécey where there is an array of shops; banks, cafés, a restaurant, supermarkets, swimming (seasonal - there are indoor pools at Villedieu Les Poëles, Avranches and Vire) and a railway station.
